Term 1 Week 4 Electronics

Image result for electronics
Today a man called Andrew came to our class and taught us about electronics. He showed us a light sensor, a temperature sensor and a strength sensor. The light sensor was a positive and negative wire with a circle on top. The temperature sensor were positive and negative wires with a thing on top which had a squiggly line on it, and the strength sensor were wires hooked to mini crocodile wires which was attached to nails. To work the strength sensor you had to squeeze the nails as hard as you could and see how many times the LED light would light up. If the LED light turned on for a long time it would be 100, if it turned on for a medium amount of time it would mean 10 and if it turned on for a very short amount of time it would mean 1. To work the temperature sensor we had to walk around the school and find hot and cold places the coldest place we found was up a tree it was 6! The hottest place we found was 357. We ran out of time trying to find the hottest place so we quickly found one.
