Cellphone Argument | Emil

Cell Phone Argument

I believe that children should be allowed to own a cellphone
when they turn twelve because that’s when they actually begin to
have uses for one. Such as communication so if they get lost then
they can contact you and find you again, they can be entertained
and occupied if they have a long wait ahead of them and used for
navigation to find their way around.

Communication is very important and a phone gives you easy
access to that. Communication is essential because when you
become more responsible as a teenager and you start going more
places by yourself then you can let your parents know where you
are. You probably didn’t have or own a cellphone when you were
under twelve but if you did, did you actually have a use for it?
Personally I got a cell phone when I was 11-12 because that’s
when I started to have uses for it and just having it for anything
that pops up.

Another feature a phone gives you is easy access to navigation.
If your anything like my family then you probably get lost when
trying to find something in a city or navigate your way around it.
But if you have a phone then you can find your way around easily with google maps. You can also use a phone to find out any questions you have about pretty much anything.

Phones are great to download apps on! If you own a phone then you can get apps such as snapchat and instagram to chat with your friends and if they want to come over, instead of you having to plan it then they can take the responsibility of planning it themselves instead of you having to.

So in my opinion if you have a child that’s over 12 then I suggest getting them a phone for navigation, entertainment and communication. It really helped me and I hope it helps your child as much if they get one.
