Athletics 2020
On the first Wednesday of this term we went down to ANZAC park to compete in the annual athletics our school has every year. We all compete in sports such as high jump, long jump, shot put, discus, 60m and 100m sprints and 1200m long distance. The long distance was optional but I chose to do it.
First for the year eight boys we competed in shot put, shot put definitely isn't my strong point in athletics so I didn't do very well there. Next up was the sprints, I did okay in the sprints and came around fourth or fifth. After sprints was the discus and then the long jump. We then had to return to the sprints for the finals. We went back to school in some buses at the end of the day. I found athletics very fun!

This is my prototec for this week, I reckon I got some pretty good results, I also stepped it up to level eight for a better challenge!

Te Reo Language Week | Emil
Maori Language Week
This week was Maori Language Week which means we had to do some tasks in school this week based around Maori places, Maori language and lots of other things. First of all, everyday on a google my maps we had to enter two places and answer a question for that place such as, what is the Maori name for this place and what does it mean? We had places such as Napier, Russell, Greymouth and Taupo.
Today (Friday) we had the challenge of completing a scavenger hunt around the school where we had to find little pieces of paper and decode them, I found it really fun. Me and my friend won! These were just a few things we did this week. I really enjoyed Maori Language week!
